Innovative Body Alignment and Movement | | | |
Kathryn Herring has over twenty years experience
in the Pilates Method. Prior to year 2000, she studied and taught Pilates with Arthur Curtis
who trained in NYC with Fitzgerald who was a student of Joseph Pilates. In June
2001 Kathryn completed an 18-month certification program with Core Dynamics
recognized by the Pilates Method Alliance. In 2008, Kathryn
completed a second certification program of Pilates Leadership Concept for
Professional Instructor Training with Marie-Jose Blom at
Long Beach
Dance Conditioning. Committed to increasing her depth of knowledge
Kathryn has completed over 100 hours of continuing education courses with
Pilates Method experts including: Michele Larsson, Deborah Lessen,
Marie-Jose Blom, Jillian Hessel,
Mary Bowen,
Ron Fletcher,
Kathy Grant,
Julian
Littleford, and Rael Isacowitz. Kathryn recently completed a
two year certification program in the Franklin Method that focuses emphasis on
postural and biomechanical imagery increasing the power, alignment and
flexibility of the body. In addition she has also studied Kinesthetic Anatomy of Biomechanics of
Motion with nationally recognized authority Irene Dowd. Kathryn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University
of Florida. She has 30
years of experience in the biomedical, medical device and pharmaceutical industry.
Incorporating this experience and knowledge with the Pilates and Franklin Method
work enhances her practical and technical awareness of her client’s issues and

Williams, a Miami
native, has more than six years experience in the Pilates Method. She received
her certification through
Core
Dynamics, an Eve Gentry inspired practice led by Michele
Larsson and Kevin Bowen. She is a member of the Pilates Method
Alliance. She has continued her Pilates education with training in
areas such as Pregnancy and Post-Partum, Osteoporosis and Scoliosis with
experts including Michele Larsson, Dawn-Marie Ickes, Julian Littleford and Ana Caban.
Her passion is spreading the movement of Pilates with children. She taught a
Pilates for Children class at a National Pilates Day community event in 2007.
She led a pilot program for Pilates in The Schools at Coconut Grove elementary
and continues to work on initiating the program in other schools throughout Miami-Dade County. She has volunteered her time
teaching Pilates for the past few summers at Camp Honey Shine. Honey Shine
is a mentoring and educational program for young girls in foster care founded
and operated by Tracy
Mourning. She believes, as Joseph Pilates intended, that everyone
should have the privilege of learning this method of movement.
Francine has a
BS in Public Relations from the University
of Florida and pursued
graduate work in Creative Writing at FIU. She has been married to David
Williams, a native of Wales,
for more than 15 years. They live in Pinecrest,
FL with their three beautiful
